Last updated: 2026-06-27. This policy explains how Bidfit processes personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Account and profile details you give us: your name, work email, company name, sectors, provinces, CIDB grade, PSIRA status, B-BBEE level and ownership details. We use these solely to match tenders to your business and to send you alerts. We also keep basic usage and email-delivery data.
To provide the service (matching and alerting), to bill you, to provide support, and to improve our matching. We process your information on the basis of the contract between us and your consent, which you give at signup.
We use Paystack to process payments and Amazon SES to deliver email — they process limited data only to provide those functions. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
You may access, correct or delete your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link, and you can request deletion by emailing privacy@bidfit.co.za. We respond within a reasonable period.
We keep your information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes, then delete it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
